In
2006 drummer Tom Gordon moved back home to Scotland from London. With over 10
years there as a busy session musician, Tom secured the position as drummer with
the BBC Big Band and worked with the likes of film composer Lalo Schiffrin, jazz
stars Jon Faddis, Joe Lovano and James Morrison, BBC Concert Orchestra, The
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The London Philharmonia, The Woody Herman
Orchestra, Larry Adler, Claire Sweeney, Lesley Garrett, Tony Hadley, Jamie
Cullum and Darius. He also played on many West End shows including Fosse,
Witches of Eastwick, Our House and Mary Poppins and played at many functions and
parties with various bands in London's top hotels, including private parties for
Sir Richard Branson, and Earl Spencer. Tom also played on the Elton John Track
"The Heart Of Every Girl" for the film Mona Lisa Smile. He continues to travel
to London regularly to work with the BBC Big Band and can be heard on their
weekly radio show "Big Band Special".
